Council Announcements

Dear Brothers,

The time of year has come for our year-end activities.  Below are the currently scheduled events for our Council and Assembly.   I am looking for strong participation from each of you in these activities as we wrap up our calendar year.

Sebastian Annual Clambake

Date: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - November 5th, 6th and 7th

Riverview Park

Brother Nate is again running the annual clambake.   We are looking for volunteers to assist over the three days with cooking and serving at the event.  I know there have been several emails with a sign-up sheet being passed around but we need to show support and help at the event.  Many shifts are still available.  Some of us will be there during the entire event so any help is appreciated.  Please contact Brother Nate Berry with your availability.

Veteran's Day Remembrance

Date:  Thursday, November 11th  @ 10:00am

Pelican Landing, 13085 US 1, Sebastian, FL

Our annual ceremony will begin at 10:00am.   All are welcome to attend.   If you are available to help, please arrive at 9:30am for set-up and review of activities.   This year, we will be having a small inside ceremony for the residents and presenting all veterans with their respective branch of service challenge coin.  I hope to see as many of you as possible for this important event.   Please wear something patriotic and service related if you are a veteran.

Cornhole Tournament to Support IRC Veterans Council

Date:  Saturday, November 20th

Opening Ceremony @ 9:00am followed by Cornhole Tournament @ 9:30am.   Events throughout the day - please see attached flyer for all the information and registration form.   Event end time is 1:30pm.

St. Sebastian Church, Sebastian, US 1

As you know, we have partnered with the LAOH and AOH on this event.   We are in need of the following:

Volunteers - needed throughout the day for various roles (kitchen, parking, food distribution, clean-up, raffles, etc.).   Please contact me directly if you have and hour or two to spare.  This event will be a much bigger success with our help.

We are also looking for two-person teams to sign-up and play in the tournament.  See attached flyer for details.   Sign-up is by the end of the month but please let me know if you are interested now so I can hold a spot.  I am hoping for at least three additional teams from the Knights as I am already signed up to play.

Breakfast with Santa

Date:  December 12

This is a popular event for the Children and families of the parish. We will be serving breakfast after the 7:30 and 9:30 mass expect a visit from Santa a great event with fairly easy serving and clean up will require a couple people in kitchen and servers.

Bobski will be chairing this event I understand that Santa has changed a little this year.

Calendar Raffle

Calendars are now available for sale from now until December 31st.   The calendar is for January 2022, with the first drawing on 01.01.22.  These make great stocking stuffers or gifts and help to support the Council and Assembly.   Calendars are $20/each and winners are drawn daily and remember, you can win more than once since your name is added back into the drawing daily.   This year, our calendar continues to offer the Tuesday 'date night' prize and a 'grand prize' on the 21st of $100.00.   Please contact me directly to purchase either by cash, check or credit card.  See attached calendar and registration document.  Entries will be added once payment is received.  Again, I am looking for each Brother/Sir Knight to support this raffle by purchasing at least two (2) calendars.  These funds will help support our local charities and ministry assistance.

Our annual golf tournament is scheduled for Saturday, April 23rd @ Sebastian Municipal Golf Course.  Again, we will be offering hot breakfast with beverages and sit-down lunch following the tournament while we award the winners and draw raffles.  Our menu will be similar to last year.  If you recall, this was one of our most successful events!   Nate and I have already begun planning and event materials will be distributed in the near future.

We hope that you will support us and make this event one of our biggest successes in 2022!   We need each of you to help - volunteer, register to play as a single or a team.  More info to come.

Thank you,

George Darmetko
