Council 8065 Christmas Party

You are cordially invited to attend the annual Knights of Columbus council 8065 Family Christmas Gala

on Friday, December 6, 2019. At the McDonald Center Beginning at 6 p.m. till 10:00 p.m. Dinner Served at 6:45 p.m.

Dancing from 7:30 between functions. Santa will visit during our holiday meal.

 

(If you are bringing a child(ren) with you, and would like to have Santa give them a special gift, please bring one (1) gift per child with the child’s name clearly written on it. Cost for this evening is only. 

 

$15 per couple & their minor (under 18 yrs.) children. Additional adult children and ALL OTHER guests are only $10 per individual. Each brother knight is asked to bring an unwrapped toy as a family gift to be given to a needy child.

For everyone's enjoyment that night, an RSVP with total of immediate family ($15) and guests at $10.00 ea. who are attending is required By December 3th.  e-mail RSVP to: edward_altamirano@sbcglobal.net

Hello Fellow Knights, 

Please know there is a new Form 100. This is the form needed to process new KofC members.  You may pick up the forms from our Financial Secretary or Treasurer when needed.  It is now available.  

All council business meetings are on the 1st Tuesday of every month.  Hope to see you there.

Special thank you to all our fellow brother Knights who have donated their time, talent, and treasure throughout the year.  The success of the many events is not possible without you.  Here are some of the events...Annual Fish Fry, King William Fair, St. Matthew Parish Festival, Annual Installation of Officers Ceremony and Presentation, Refugee Ministry BBQ, Ministry Fair, Back To School Hot Dogs, Casino Knight, 19th Annual Oktoberfest, Annual Christmas Party, Adopt-A-Family for Christmas, Annual Dinner for St. Vincent de Paul Volunteers.  Your support and dedication is greatly noticed and appreciated.

Degree information

There are 4  degrees of membership which are designed to correspond and demonstrate one of the 4 principles of the Order:  Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.  Each degree has it’s own installation ceremony at which the core principle of the Degree is conferred upon the Knights seeking advancement in their local Council.  

 

1st Degree (Exemplification): Charity

2nd Degree (Admission): Unity

3rd Degree (Formation): Fraternity

4th Degree (Knighthood): Patriotism

 

A 1st Degree ceremony is scheduled during the month of October at the following sites:

 

Oct 2nd @ St. John Neumann Family Center (6680 Crestway Rd, San Antonio, TX 78239) at 7:30 pm.

Oct 21st @ Prince of Peace Council #7983 (7893 Grissom Rd San Antonio, TX 7825) at 6:30 pm behind the church building.

The Knights of Columbus, Council #8065 is being asked to sponsor October 26th... 

Simply need to volunteer using the link below to fill in a time on that date... 

You will need to register and sign a peace agreement as part of this commitment. 

 

If you can't make this day, please pick another day and/or spend time in the Adoration chapel in prayer for all those needing prayer and intervention.

The calendar is up and we need your help to fill the hours. Sign up at www.40daysforlife.com/sanantonio and commit to those hours on the sidewalk. We will be present in front of the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic located at 2140 Babcock Rd. Monday-Saturday from 7am-7pm.

We really need active members in our council.  

Even if you do not participate in all the activities, your membership to your local council is very important. And paying your dues helps support the council and our ministry. 

 

While we support payment at our meetings and by mail, we would also like to extend our new ONLINE option as well.
