Lilley, who is a second grader at Townline Elementary School is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia. Despite the challenges she faces, she has found a beautiful way to turn her journey into an opportunity to help others. Last year, Lilley noticed that the “hat shelf” at her oncology clinic was often empty. She decided she wanted to collect beanies so that other children fighting cancer—kids just like her—would have something warm and comforting to take home. What began as a small goal of 50 beanies quickly grew into something incredible: over 300 beanies donated, thanks to the support of friends, family, and our Townline Elementary community.
